Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9 THC) is the most well-known cannabinoid in cannabis. It's the primary compound responsible for the "high" associated with marijuana — the euphoria, relaxation, altered perception, and enhanced sensory experiences.
But here's what many people don't realize: Delta-9 THC isn't exclusive to marijuana. It's also found in hemp, the legal variety of cannabis defined by the 2018 Farm Bill. When derived from hemp and kept within the federal 0.3% limit by dry weight, Delta-9 THC products are completely legal.
